Listen to an explanation of the mistake by choosing the mp3 option. Download audio explanations through a simple right click. This site was created in the United Kingdom. American English speakers may notice some slight differences.
In the Classroom
Bookmark and save this site for classroom use throughout the year. Show a poster on your interactive whiteboard and have students explain the mistake shown in the poster. Use this site as a model for students to create their own classic mistakes posters with errors made in the classroom. Have students upload a photo they have taken and add voice bubbles to explain what they learned by using a tool such as Phrase.it, reviewed here. Better yet, use the right sidebar to search by topic: Math, Science, World Languages, History & Culture, Performing Arts, and more.Next Vista offers an extensive collection of career videos to use as a resource for exploring and discovering career opportunities. View videos directly on site or share using the link or embed code provided. Throughout the school year, Next Vista hosts video creation contests for students and teachers. Submit your own videos less than 5 minutes in length using directions provided. They even offer small prizes for winners.

At the time of this review, the AP Calculus portion contains the most information, with many videos sorted and labeled by content.
In the Classroom
This site is excellent for enrichment or reinforcement. Include it on your class web page for students to access both in and out of class. Share directions for enrolling in quizzes with students, and allow them to use them as a resource for studying and reviewing class information. Create a link to videos on your classroom computers for students to view and study.

The Mathematics Enhancement Programme is a comprehensive resource full of free math curriculum resources for all grade levels. Materials include lesson plans, practice materials, printable number lines and cards, and student activity sheets. Click any key stage level to download an entire year's worth of course materials. In addition to printed materials, interactive tutorials (offered in a fairly basic-looking computer style) offer lessons and remediation for many math topics. The site was created in the UK, so some of the pronunciations and spellings may differ from those in American English (as well as the type of currency used for money problems). The site dates back a ways, so the actual "look" is a bit old fashioned.

Bookmark and save this site for supplemental math resources throughout the year. Explore the lesson plans to use in your own classroom. Create a link to interactive tutorials on your website or classroom computers for student use. Share the excellent Spanish language math materials with your school's ESL/ELL teacher.

Use the math solver to check work, type in any math problem from beginner algebra to calculus to check any answer. Use the tutorial provided for step-by-step help. Choose from several activities sorted by categories such as strategy games or logic games. The Algebra lessons section contains close to 100 lessons describing Algebra concepts in simple terms along with images, charts, graphs, and examples. Explore lessons either by course (Algebra 1, Algebra 2, etc.) or use the index to search for particular items alphabetically. Take quizzes at the end of many lessons or download practice worksheets through links provided. Also at this site is a link for Basic Math. Clicking on that will give you activities like number writing and counting. On that page, if you look to the left there are grade levels for IXL Math and more free activities. he last link you might like to try is for the Math Games, and there is quite a variety.

ChiliMath is an excellent resource whether you are teaching kindergarten/first grade or 8th grade. You might want to set up a class computer with links for concepts your class is working on at the time, or for review. Try using a program like Symbaloo reviewed here to display links to several activities at one time. Practice Algebra concepts by sharing lessons on your interactive whiteboard when introducing or reviewing. However, English Language Arts are supposed to be added soon. Find videos by grade level for immediate viewing or download for later. Videos focus on standards and include examples though the intention is to clarify the meaning but not how to teach the standard. Many of the videos are hosted on YouTube. If your district blocks YouTube, then they may not be viewable.

Select, arrange, and format questions as desired. Select questions by browsing topics or exams. Add items as desired to your document with the link provided. Drag and drop selections into any order such as easy to hard, all multiple choice items together, etc. Choose a template for how questions should look. Choose other options such as allowing room for students to show work and printing an answer key. Preview your document until it is complete then print in PDF format. Create lesson plans, too.

Graphing Stories is a set of short videos to use for graphing. Print the handout (pdf) provided on the site and give to students before beginning each video. Play the video and have students graph the story. Search by most downloads, type of graph (such as linear or decreasing), or video subject. Each video begins with an overview of the graph and labels to use. The final few seconds of the videos demonstrate how finished graphs should appear.
In the Classroom
Use Graphing Stories videos for quick graphing practice. Share the videos on your interactive whiteboard or projector. Stop the video after viewing labeling instructions for students to be prepared. Watch the activity. Stop the video again before the correct graph appears. Have students compare graphs and discuss differences before viewing the end of the video with the correct graph. Download graphs onto student computers for students to complete independently or provide a link to graphs for students to review at home.

At the time of this review, there were 80 "Challenges" to explore. All of high interest and intriguing topics! Although mainly math activity, many border on science topics as well. Each activity offers hints and answers explained in many ways. Finding the answer is rather tricky! Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for the link to Answer. Don't miss the Teachers Corner. It includes all beginning materials; PowerPoints, forms, and ideas you need to begin!
In the Classroom
In the classroom, use Figure This to help differentiate instruction for all levels, especially the high-achievers and gifted students. Allow students to work independently, or work in pairs to solve challenges. Introduce the challenge on your interactive whiteboard projector. Then allow students to dive into the challenge! Use for gifted enrichment, or even a Math Challenge Day for a reward. Offer extra credit for the number of challenges solved. Use as a model to allow students to create their own challenges. Add to your website as a fun resource for students and families.

Choose the tutorial tab to find many tutorials perfect for interactive whiteboard use on topics such as algebra tiles, solving equations, and linear functions. Choose the PowerPoint tab to download PowerPoints for Algebra Jeopardy, slope/function, and quadratic functions. Watch video tutorials for the TI-Nspire Clickpad and Touchpad at the Nspire tab. This site is worth a look for anyone teaching upper-level mathematics. Registration is required (with email) for some of the features. Also, be aware some of the videos are hosted on YouTube. If your district blocks YouTube, then they may not be viewable.

Course information displays start date, length of class, and the source offering the course. View a description/biography of the course instructor, a video explanation of each course, and information on the course format at the homepage for each class. Most courses offer a certificate of completion for successful completion of course requirements.
In the Classroom
Allow gifted students to enroll in courses that interest them or that provide enrichment beyond classroom content. Share with others in your building as a resource for professional development. Explore the topics yourself for some new, engaging topics to round out your own expertise.
