Consider TinyWow as a versatile resource to assist you with editing, creating, and sharing files and documents of any kind, similar to a Swiss Army Knife. PDF tools allow you to merge, split, compress, and convert PDF documents to different formats. Use the video tools to resize and compress videos, change format, and trim videos. Use TinyWow's image tools to remove backgrounds, create artificial intelligence (AI) images, remove objects from images, and much more. Follow the directions to upload files, convert them, and then download them to your device. Although registration isn't required, TinyWow offers the option to create an account to save your work; otherwise, files are deleted after an hour.

This site has a comprehensive list of literary awards given yearly for excellence in writing in many categories. Besides a winners' list, there is an explanation of each award. In addition to book awards, there are also separate listings for film and music album awards. Each separate award site has an "honor roll," a list of the best in that area, as well as a complete listing. Archives include many lists from the past ten years as well. Although the list includes many awards public and private school teachers may not be familiar with, the site is a good place to begin to aid in the selection of quality outside reading material. In addition, many offer a "young adult" subcategory that would be helpful for teachers in grades 7-12 in recommending books to students for literature activities, independent reading, or writing inspiration/examples.

Have you ever seen a picture and wanted to know where it was taken or what the object was in the image? Google Lens does this and much more. Use Google Lens to identify objects, translate text, find information, and guide you toward action based on the image's content. Click the image icon (small square) in Google's search bar on your computer or app to drag an image, upload a file, or paste an image link to begin. Search the highlighted area on the image to find places, shop for items, extract text, or translate text. Scan a flyer and add a date to your calendar, find visually similar items, or scan a business card to automatically convert the image into a digital contact and add the information to your phone's address book.
In the Classroom
Include Google Lens in your teacher toolbox for many uses by you and your students. Use this tool to identify plants and leaves near your school during science lessons, quickly translate information for multilingual learners using images, or identify unknown places or items in pictures. Google Lens suggests similar images; use this information to expand and find pictures to include with student projects. Ask older students to search for news articles from different countries and then translate the information to compare with articles from their local news organizations. Use Lens for scavenger hunts or quizzes, where students must identify objects or translate text in real-time, promoting engagement and making learning more interactive. Bit is a platform created for individuals and collaborative teams to organize and share documents seamlessly. Similar to Google Documents and Microsoft Word, Bit offers the ability to add images, tables, and add links to files. Bit then offers additional features, including individual and team workspaces and company wikis. Start with a blank document or choose from templates for meeting notes, project goals, and brainstorming. Next, add collaborators or share a document with a link or by embedding it onto a website. All collaborators must have a Bit account, use the invite button to share registration information with potential collaborators. Be sure to follow the quick start guide or watch the Bit Academy videos for a complete overview of the features found on this site. Free plans include the ability to add five members and create up to fifty documents. Storage size for free accounts is 1GB with a 5MB file limit.

After viewing a question, students create a recording with options for drawing on a virtual whiteboard to enhance their responses. After submitting a response, students receive feedback that identifies positive information in their responses and areas for improvement. Use questions from Snorkl's library or create questions to add to your library and assign to students. When assigning activities to your class, options are available to allow students to view their classmates' responses and comments if desired. Students access the assignments by visiting the link provided after creating the assignment or using the join code. As students post responses, teachers receive insights based on the shared answers that describe students' understandings and misunderstandings of the topic.

Use Snorkl to enhance student learning by providing prompts that encourage students to develop thinking and reasoning skills while sharing their understanding of the topic. Encourage students to use the included whiteboard to provide written responses and drawings in addition to the recorded audio explanations. Differentiate learning for students by creating questions based on students' understanding of the topic.
