ClassPoint integrates with PowerPoint and Windows operating systems using presentation tools, interactive quiz questions, and a gamified reward system. Use the presentation tools to highlight information, add annotations, open a whiteboard, and more. Turn your slides into interactive questions to share with students and receive immediate feedback through the responses. Use the rewards option to give or take away stars to students based on your preferences; students move through levels to receive badges by earning rewards. Download ClassPoint to your Windows device by following the directions and prompts provided. Free accounts offer up to a twenty-five-student class size, five questions per PowerPoint, three draggable objects, three saved classes, and basic gamification. ClassPoint is not available for MacOS devices at the time of this review; however, it is being looked at as an option, so Mac users might want to check back to see if it becomes available.

Use ClassPoint's tutorials after downloading this tool onto your compatible Windows device to learn how to add quizzes, create word clouds, upload videos, and use the other features available with ClassPoint. Take lessons beyond your typical slide show presentations using ClassPoint's interactive component to engage students and connect learning through multimedia presentations. Insert polls within your slides to gauge students' understanding of the content or ask them to respond to questions throughout the presentation. Create and customize artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots in a secure, COPPA-compliant setting with Mizou. Customize chatbots using your materials, instructions, and rubrics and share them securely with students. Personalize the appearance as desired and include text, audio, and images. Receive instant feedback that identifies areas of students' strengths and weaknesses of the content. Mizou also offers a searchable library of content available to add to your workspace to use as is or to edit to fit your needs. Share chatbots with students by launching a new session and providing students with the URL or QR code. Students share their names to access the chat; directions and responses are available as text or audio.
In the Classroom
Use Mizou in many different ways to engage students in learning. For example, when teaching the novel 1984, use the chat in Mizou's library with George Orwell to engage in critical thinking activities that explore the themes and ties to the modern world shared in the novel. Use the chats to assist students in reviewing vocabulary by selecting the Spreadsheet Vocabulary Review chat and modifying the language to fit your needs. Story Time from Space is an educational project that features astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) reading children's books, combining literature with science lessons from space. The website has a collection of videos where astronauts read various storybooks, making it an engaging way for children to learn about space and science. Along with the story readings, the site provides science experiments and demonstrations conducted in the space station's microgravity environment. This site contains lesson plans and student worksheets. The videos are hosted on YouTube. If your district blocks YouTube, then they may not be viewable.
In the Classroom
Have students watch experiments conducted in space to understand how microgravity affects various situations. Then, in groups, have students brainstorm and plan simple science experiments that could be conducted in space. Next, using a storyboard template from Canva found here, have students outline their experiment, hypothesize results in space versus on Earth, and present their ideas to the class. Have students write letters to an astronaut, asking questions about space, life on the ISS, or the books read. Have students watch an astronaut read a children's book aboard the International Space Station and then draw their favorite part of the story or an experiment shown in the video. They can use a digital drawing tool like Tux Paint, reviewed here to illustrate their ideas. These drawings can be compiled into a class science journal and shared with parents or other classes.

Choose your test to begin, then select from the study planner or practice tests. Registration isn't required; however, it allows you to save and view progress throughout the training materials.
In the Classroom
Share this site on your class website with students to use in place of worksheets or other printed test prep materials. Encourage students to create their own account and take advantage of the lessons and assessments provided. As students progress through the practice materials, encourage them to share suggestions for problem-solving and test-taking with other students. Ask students to create a portfolio including annotated images to reflect and share their progress in test preparation using a tool such as Spaces, reviewed here. Choose from several different options to download icons in the file format desired, such as png. Convert to jpg, bmp, or several other file options. Each icon includes licensing information so you can look for icons that are Creative Commons or public domain. Create an account then make user sets of your favorite icons. Access your user sets from anywhere through the FindIcons website. Explore the TAGS button to find search ideas. Be aware: ANY word/term can be searched, some may not be appropriate for the classroom. If you plan to allow young people to use this site independently, be sure to discuss appropriate searching.

This short video creates a situation where it is necessary to choose synonyms to avoid using the same word repeated times. It goes on to explain how to use a conventional thesaurus. It uses the overly repeated word from the first situation to examine a thesaurus entry, and it explains how to know which group of thesaurus words to choose from. Although tv411 was originally created for English language learners (mainly adults), much of the content would be useful with secondary students. Preview the video before you share with your class.

MyBib is a bibliography and citation generator that offers many different citation styles. Use this simple tool to create and save citations for various resources, including websites, PDFs, and ISBN. Begin by selecting the type of resource from the options bar or drag a PDF onto the site. Follow the prompts that may ask for additional information. When finished, select the download option to copy and add to a document, choose from other options to print, add to Google Drive, and more. Creating an account is optional; however, it allows you to save your citations for future use. MyBib also offers a Chrome extension that creates citations directly from websites.
In the Classroom
Include this tool on all classroom computers and as a link on your class website for student use. This bibliography tool helps students properly format their Works Cited pages. Use this tool to help keep your students (or even yourself) organized! Make sure you teach plagiarism lessons about paraphrasing and proper citation of sources, so students use this tool properly! Take the drudgery out of writing formal papers by emphasizing thinking over mechanics. Whether teaching beginning research or seniors in high school, introduce them to MyBib. For younger students, seeing all the formatting and citing done correctly from the beginning makes sense, whether it is the body of the writing or the bibliography. With either age group, give lessons about each part of a paper or letter. Demonstrate on an interactive whiteboard (or with a projector) and think out loud as a group to pull together ideas, sources, quotes, and more to support an argument and build a paper. You can use it, too, when you write for your graduate program. Save time when creating presentations and choosing fonts by using Wordmark.it to preview what your exact words will look like. Simply type/paste in any words, and Wordmark.it scans the fonts on your computers, displaying the words in each and every font style you have. Adjust font size as desired to see changes or change to positive or negative space. This site helps find the perfect font for any use in no time at all! You no longer have to guess whether the capitals will look funny or the specific letters/words might be hard to read. Art teachers can use this to demonstrate design aspects of different fonts. Sign up using email and a password to save words if desired, but this isn't necessary for general use.
