FindIcons.com is a search tool that helps you find free icons. Type your term in the search bar to view icons in FindIcons database. Choose from several different options to download icons in the file format desired, such as png. Convert to jpg, bmp, or several other file options. Each icon includes licensing information so you can look for icons that are Creative Commons or public domain. Create an account then make user sets of your favorite icons. Access your user sets from anywhere through the FindIcons website. Explore the TAGS button to find search ideas. Be aware: ANY word/term can be searched, some may not be appropriate for the classroom. If you plan to allow young people to use this site independently, be sure to discuss appropriate searching.

Go Pangea is a website where students can connect and learn with others worldwide in a safe online community. Teachers and award-winning publishers have developed thousands of thought-provoking questions spanning various topics and subjects. These questions are accompanied by relevant videos and reading materials that assist students in responding thoroughly and meaningfully. Educators can take advantage of the extensive question bank by selecting existing questions to give to students or by creating their own original questions. The vast collection of assignable materials helps facilitate in-depth learning and discussion. Videos are linked to YouTube and Vimeo; check for access before using them in class or assigning them to students.

The extensive, curriculum-connected questions allow teachers to integrate Go Pangea in diverse ways that promote critical thinking and active use of knowledge. Assign specific questions as homework or warm-ups to have students engage with content individually and develop critical thinking. Save time when creating presentations and choosing fonts by using Wordmark.it to preview what your exact words will look like. Simply type/paste in any words, and Wordmark.it scans the fonts on your computers, displaying the words in each and every font style you have. Adjust font size as desired to see changes or change to positive or negative space. This site helps find the perfect font for any use in no time at all! You no longer have to guess whether the capitals will look funny or the specific letters/words might be hard to read. Art teachers can use this to demonstrate design aspects of different fonts. Sign up using email and a password to save words if desired, but this isn't necessary for general use.

Find directions for creating body biographies and other tools to help students identify important biographical information. This Reading Trek provides inspiration and suggestions for using the story of Matthew Hensen and his work as an assistant to Admiral Peary and their journey to the North Pole. The Instructional Guide offers robust activities for use with students in grades K-6. Content correlates to Common Core Standards, ISTE Student Standards, and National Curriculum Standards for Social Studies. Find the entire selection of Reading Treks here.

Take advantage of the many ideas found in this Reading Trek to teach students about cultural prejudices and exploration of the North Pole. The Google suite of tools has accessibility features that will help you give all students the chance to show their best work. This session will introduce you to these features and show you how to use them to support all students--even those who don't have a documented need. As a result of this session, teachers will: 1. Learn basic accessibility features included in the Google suite of tools; 2. Explore instructional strategies that use these features; and 3. Plan for the use of Google's built-in accessibility features in your classroom. This session is appropriate for teachers at all technology levels.
