Practice multiplication facts with an assortment of games that test players' speed and accuracy in recalling facts. Choose from several options that look similar to video games and practice multiplication in different ways. For example, some games challenge players to choose a correct answer without a time limit. In contrast, others require speed and agility by moving through a course and avoiding obstacles while finding the right response.
In the Classroom
Share this site with students to use during computer center time or for the practice of multiplication facts at home. Use Symbaloo, reviewed here, to bookmark and share a variety of math practice sites with students. Symbaloo's icons make it easy for students to find and access sites with appropriate activities. Extend student learning using Padlet, reviewed here, and ask students to share tips that have helped them learn multiplication facts. . Visit the curriculum page to find and download an overview of course sequences and curriculum by grade level and subject. Each set of materials contains a comprehensive set of resources correlated to Common Core Standards. Materials include lesson directions, student handbooks, assessments, and all printed materials necessary for the content shared. Email registration is required to access and download materials.
In the Classroom
Save this site for use as an entire curriculum, or use the materials to supplement your current resources. Use the materials to differentiate learning activities for your students. Provide students additional support using content found at lower grade levels or challenge gifted students with materials from a higher grade level. Use Duck Soup, reviewed here, as an alternative to printed assignments and convert any page into an e-sheet gradable activity.

Put down the pencil and paper and bring algebra to life with Graspable Math. Use the site's activities, or open the whiteboard to create algebra expressions. Use visual gestures to drag or tap parts of the expression and move to the other side of the equation. Follow the directions to move multiple terms with one move. Use the dropdown boxes within the workspace to add videos, insert commonly-used formulas, and share with students. Take advantage of Graspable Math's tutorial videos to learn more about the many features available with this site. Creating an account isn't required; however, it allows members to save and share boards. Share boards within Google Classroom, by email, embed into a website, or use the unique URL provided.

This site is a must-have for use in pre-algebra, algebra, and high school math classrooms! Science teachers will also find many uses for this interactive math board. Use Graspable Math to demo equations and formulas with students in several different ways. Share a link with students to use on their personal devices or classroom computers and allow them time to explore and experiment with the different options. This site includes many features that may take time to learn and understand. Start slowly with simple problems and take advantage of the video tutorials to become familiar with the many different uses. EdLight offers tools for capturing and providing feedback for student work products. Follow the three easy steps to create assignments, take a picture of the work, and provide feedback on any device. Provide student feedback using rubrics, text, stickers, or record an audio message. Share EdLight tasks using Google Classroom, Clever, or student codes. Free accounts allow you to save up to 1000 images with up to two co-teachers.
In the Classroom
Make grading student work more accessible and more effective using EdLight's included tools. Use tools to draw on submitted work to point out specific areas of interest. Leave audio feedback that is specific and focused on each student's needs. Use EdLight to create portfolios for use when conferencing with parents. EdLight is an excellent tool for remote learning and hybrid learning situations as it allows flexibility in sharing work and providing timely feedback. Create a free account to record unlimited videos for free. Download Vmaker to your computer or install it as a browser extension following the directions upon signup. Once the extension or download is complete, access the included features to choose settings and begin recording. When finished, your video is available to edit or share. When ready to share, download the video to your device, copy the link for your video, or share by email.

Use this handy screen recording tool in a variety of ways in your classroom. Record tutorials for students to demonstrate how to access and use online sites; create recordings for substitutes to explain how to find and use the software on your computer, or make a how-to demo to find information on your class website to share with students and parents. Help students understand how to use the different features of documents, such as creating a tutorial showing students how to format cells in Excel, adding comments to a Google document, or finding and inserting images in slides. PixCove offers downloadable JPEG images for use privately or commercially without requiring attribution. Use the keyword search to locate images for specific topics or browse through the latest uploads. Included with each image is a short description with tags and a statement of no copyright declaring the availability to use the image without attribution. Even when not required, it is always a good idea for students to provide attribution when possible.

Explore PixCove as a resource to find images and backgrounds for any digital projects and presentations. Select interesting images to display for creative writing prompts or ask students to select a photo to inspire a creative writing project. Ask students to write their stories (displaying the image) with Telegra.ph, reviewed here, to share with the class. EDUimages provides a library of photos taken from seven urban schools that primarily serve multicultural students and low-income families representing modern classrooms. Images cover all grade levels from PreK through high school. Search the site by keyword, or browse through the collections divided into grade levels, subject area, and more. Download using the links provided; included with each image is all copyright information. The photos are free and licensed under Creative Commons attribution and require appropriate attribution.
In the Classroom
Bookmark this site for professional use and share it with students whenever using images for class projects and assignments. Be sure to discuss how to use and attribute images within their work properly. Use these images on your class web page, in newsletters, or in slide presentations. Many of the images also work well for use with creative writing projects. For example, display one of the interesting images on your whiteboard or share it with students in their learning space to use as a writing prompt. The free version includes dyslexia fonts, a font changer, and the ability to adjust word spacing to make websites easier to view. Content features include Immersive Reader, translations, a picture dictionary, and screenshot tools. Enhanced display tools offer you the ability to emphasize links and adjust for color blindness. Try it for free by choosing your browser and following the directions to add the extension. After adding the extension, pin it to your toolbar and adjust the different options as desired.

Circlyapp is a platform for organizing and sharing information visually using brightly colored circles as an organizing tool. Work as an individual or invite others into collaborative projects and discussions using Circlyapp. Register for an account using your email to begin a blank project or choose from shared templates. The shared templates include ideas for book reviews, character maps, and a drag-and-drop opposite adjectives game. After creating a project, use the link to share with collaborators. Free accounts allow you to save up to 30 projects and download completed activities as an image.

Share Circlyapp on your whiteboard or screen when remote teaching as a visual tool for organizing and discussing any topic. For example, use the character map template as a starting point for discussions of actions and character traits of essential characters in any story or to analyze noteworthy people in history. Have older students complete character maps on their own as an assessment activity. Share with students who are working on group projects as an organizational tool for managing different project components. Ask students to include a completed Circlyapp image as part of a larger project or book report. Looking for a fun and engaging way to teach a lesson? Digital Escapes made using Google tools will fit the bill. Digital Escapes are the online version of immersive games where teams discover clues, solve puzzles, and accomplish tasks to escape from the game site. They're an exciting, fun, and effective learner-centered teaching strategy you will reach for again and again. Learn how to implement this instructional strategy in your classroom and about the many benefits of this approach, such as developing problem-solving skills, fostering a growth mindset, encouraging collaboration and teamwork, and promoting access to content knowledge. As a result of this session, teachers will: 1. Understand Digital Escapes as a learner-centered instructional strategy; 2. Explore a collection of Digital Escape examples to understand how to use the strategy in the classroom; and. 3. Plan for the use of Digital Escapes in the classroom. This session is appropriate for teachers at all technology levels.
