We will provide strategies and tools to help you understand whether the technology implemented in your classroom impacts learning in a deep and meaningful way. Learn to analyze lesson plans and apply the Triple E tools to inform your practice so you can design and teach better lessons using technology. As a result of this session, teachers will: 1. Customize and share personalized Wordles based upon the popular word game, Wordle, reviewed here using Make a Custom Wordle. Enter a word of any length (unlike the original word for five-letter words only) to generate a shareable link for your word. Make a Custom Wordle also offers the option to create words in several languages, including Spanish, French, Hindi, and German. Share the link with students using email, classroom management system, or class website. When complete, copy the URL to share by pasting it into an email or your blog or classroom website.
In the Classroom
Use this Wordle generator in various ways in any classroom for increasing problem-solving and strategy skills. When using with young students, generate three or four-letter Wordles for students to attempt with partners. Provide a list of sight words if needed to avoid frustration. When teaching older students, develop Wordles to solve using vocabulary words, weekly spelling lists, science terms, or historical characters. Provide this site to students and create Wordles to share with their peers. Include a link on classroom computers during computer centers or as an activity when finished with daily assignments. Using this site is an excellent way to include ENL/ELL students in classroom activities by creating a word from their native language. Include others in your school community or parents by developing and sharing Wordles for your school or classroom site. LiveGap offers a suite of three online web tools, all available without registration. The first is LiveGap Charts, reviewed here. This chart creation tool is a very easy-to-use resource for creating and personalizing charts and graphs in several formats. The second resource is an editor for creating and testing HTML, Javascript, and CSS documents. The third tool is called an Icon Matrix. The Icon Matrix is a pictograph creator offered in several different formats. Each tool includes options to customize color, text, information, and more. Use the share icon found in each tool to download or share your work.
In the Classroom
Bookmark and save LiveGap for a variety of classroom uses. Quickly create charts and graphs to represent information found in math problems, science experiments, or any other time you gather information. Share how to represent information in different ways by changing graph styles. Ask groups of students to create different kinds of graphs, then share their work with the class to compare the visual appearance of the information and determine the best format for sharing that type of information. Include the LiveGap Editor with your other resources for students to access during computer and coding lessons. The Icon Matrix is an excellent tool for creating infographics and pictographs that provide visual representations of data. This resource may take a little more practice to understand how to personalize the icons and graphics. When finished, save your chart as an image, as an animation on a web page, download a video file, or save online and share the link for others to view. Although registration isn't required, it offers you the opportunity to save charts for later use.

Save this handy chart creation tool in your bookmarks and on student computers for various classroom uses. Enter data on the site, then demonstrate how to represent the information through multiple formats and representations. Collect data in your classroom and quickly create a graph to express it, then choose another design to share the data in another way. Certify'em is an add-on to Google Forms that automatically generates personalized certificates. Follow the instructions to install and authorize the add-on before using it. After installation, personalize Certify'em within any form to create a certificate upon completion of a minimum score. Free accounts allow members to make their templates or choose from those shared on the site. Your Certify'em account also maintains a record of all exam attempts.
In the Classroom
Certify'em is an excellent addition to every Google Forms members' toolbox. Create and share certificates with students for successful completion of quizzes and tests. Use Certify'em as a means for differentiating instruction by allowing students to take a pre-assessment test before starting a new unit. If they obtain a certificate, offer an alternative extended learning activity. Vizzlo is a free chart maker site offering a wide variety of options for sharing data in different formats. Get inspired by visiting the gallery to view examples of the layouts and means for sharing data. To begin creating, sign in to your account and select "Create." If you know the type of chart you want, use the keyword search to find it. Next, browse through the page to see examples, or use the filters to find options by use, type, and alphabetical list. The possibilities include well-known charts, including timeline creators and pie charts, along with less familiar varieties such as puzzle charts. Select a chart to begin creating by using the features found on the dashboard. Personalize data, colors, and the page setup. When complete, download as a PNG image, share a link by email or embed the code into a website. Free plans offer many features and access to a wide variety of charts; however, all charts created using a free plan will include Vizzlo's dominant watermark on the image.

Follow five easy steps to create personalized pictograms using the built-in features of this pictogram maker. First, start from scratch or use one of the premade templates and customize your information and design elements. The drag and drop features make it easy for participants to add and change content. After creating an account, begin with a blank template or choose from premade templates, including customer surveys, weather forecasts, and most popular social media channels. After selecting a template, use the dashboard features to change fonts, colors, graphics, data, and more. When complete, share your pictograph using the URL created upon publication, embed it onto a website using the embed code, or download it as a JPG or PNG image file. Visme's Pictogram Maker also offers the option of adding collaborators. Use the collaborator option to share as a view-only image, comment, or add editors.

Create a customized avatar by scrolling down the page and selecting any easy-to-use template provided on Adobe Express. Each template includes options to choose from and select facial features to make a one-of-a-kind avatar. In addition, the templates offer several looks that serve as the starting point for the avatar. To begin, choose a template and login into your Adobe account. Next, drag and drop features onto the face outline to create your desired look. Additional options allow avatar creators to change the background, add text, icons, and more to personalize the slide. When finished, select the download link to save to your device as a JPEG, PNG, or PDF file.

Include this site in many classroom activities in many different learning activities. For example, ask students to design an avatar for a character in a book they are reading and add text about their character. Create avatars for famous people in history to summarize their stories. Once you understand why hexagons help develop understanding through connections and interactions with shared information, this generator will become one of your favorite tools for classroom use! Learn more about classrooms uses for hexagons at this blog post written by the site's creator. Print the blank hexagons for use when developing units of study as a visual representation of connections to teaching during the study. Ask students to complete and connect hexagons when preparing research papers or as a guide for studying for upcoming tests and quizzes. Replace a timeline with hexagons to connect events and dates, use colors to code information by location, time, or important people. Include a link to a hexagon worksheet when preparing blended learning or remote learning lessons. Creating an account isn't necessary, but it allows you to save and share wheels. Simultaneously spinning multiple wheels opens the door to unlimited uses to engage students. For example, create six wheels with the numbers on dice as a virtual dice roller. In addition, customize wheels for creative story writing prompts that include options for random characters, setting, and story theme. Use this tool to practice math facts by creating wheels that prompt players to solve math problems based upon a spin of the wheel. Engage students when reviewing for upcoming quizzes and tests by creating wheels to check facts. You'll learn to use these tools to design authentic learning activities that provide support while facilitating deep learning. Created for non-designers, Desygner uses drag and drop features and ready-made templates that make it easy for everyone to build and share content to use for many different needs. Create an account to begin designing using templates, upload a PDF document, or start from scratch. Select items from the dashboard to add and edit text, images, YouTube videos, and more features. When finished, share your project using the provided link, or download in JPEG, PNG, PDF, or MP4 format.
In the Classroom
This tool is perfect for enhancing, modifying, or transforming classroom technology in the classroom, depending on the requirements of the assignments. Create invitations, flyers, or newsletters for your classroom. Share what you created on your website or blog for students to review or for absent students. Deliver blended or flipped lessons using Desygner by adding links to videos, assessment information, and other learning activities. In the younger grades, teachers would be the ones creating the project. However, older students could easily create their own Desygner presentations. Have students use this online tool as they would any presentation tool or image enhancing site. Use this site for research projects about famous people from the past and present. Have cooperative learning groups create presentations about science or math topics. Have students create presentations to "introduce" themselves to the class during the first week of school. Link or embed the introduction presentations on your class wiki or website and have others guess who they are. Use this tool with your 1:1 art class to practice design principles and techniques. Share student projects with parents and others via URL. Be sure to demonstrate how to use this tool on your interactive whiteboard or projector or create a series of video instructions. Quickly create math practice questions that provide instant feedback with helpful explanations using Edia. Edia's database includes an extensive list of questions to use. First, select questions, add time limits, due dates, and more. After assigning questions to groups of students, Edia rearranges the question order for each student to prevent sharing answers. Also, this site includes a unique background that prevents students from using the PhotoMath app to read and answer questions. After creating an account, begin by selecting to create a quiz or practice. Next, create a class or import students from Google Classroom. Continue by personalizing options, including the post date, due date, and allowing late submissions. Next, choose the "Add question" link to find and add questions, continue until a sufficient number of questions are included. Choose "Post Now" to create a shareable link to provide to students. Students sign in using a Google account or create an email and password account.
In the Classroom
Use Edia to create, share, and differentiate math practice questions with students. Create practice sheets for students on the fly as you assess understanding of concepts or review previously learned material. If parents ask for additional support for their students, create individual practice on the necessary skills. Some of Edia's explanations may take a different approach than methods taught in your classroom, use this to your advantage and ask students to share different methods for approaching problems. Ask students to share their approaches using a screen recording tool such as Free Screen Recorder Online, reviewed here.
