Khanmigo offers a suite of free AI-powered tools specially designed for educators. Choose a resource from several categories for differentiation, planning, creating, learning, or support. Select any tool and add the requested information, such as topic, grade level, and learning objectives, into the message box. Adjust the response by highlighting any output portion and asking for changes. When finished, use the included options to print the information, export it to Microsoft Word, create a PDF, or save it to your Google Drive. The results are also available on your Khanmigo account in a "My Documents" folder. Always double-check information generated by AI for accuracy before using it.

Instead of a one-time professional development session, consider creating an ongoing podcast using Buzzsprout, reviewed here to share new technology tools, provide advice and tips, and answer common questions. This downloadable booklet provided by the Department of Education shares guidance on understanding how to use AI to advance educational goals while also evaluating and limiting the risks involved with using AI. Choose from two download options - download the seventy-one-page report or choose the Core Messages link to view a four-page summary of crucial information from the report.

Understanding how AI works and the pros and cons of using AI tools in education is a crucial skill for all educators. Use the information in the booklet as a starting point for understanding AI and how it impacts your teaching. Share the booklet with your peers to use during ongoing professional development sessions, and include this information with your other AI resources. The materials share potential approaches and sample guidance suggestions to help shape policy using examples and sample language. Also included is a three-stage framework to create policy, facilitate organizational learning, and promote improvement and transformation. The toolkit includes seven principles for AI in education that have discussion questions; use these principles to guide professional development sessions and peer conversations. Downdetector provides real-time monitoring of major companies and services. Scroll down the site to find links to major services, including Twitter, YouTube, Google, and others, to find the status based upon crowd-sourced information. Although Downdetector does not provide information for all websites, it is a valuable tool for finding the status of the primary services and companies monitored.
