Use links at the bottom of your workspace to add lists, mindmaps, folders, and more. Drag and drop content from your computer and add to your workspace. Install the bookmarklet onto your computer browser to automatically push information into your inbox. Weje operates on a system using "boardss." After creating a board, personalize content by changing backgrounds and adding information. Collaborate with others by sharing boards and allowing them to edit information.

Use Weje to organize and curate content for any unit. Share video and website links, upload notes, and create mindmaps for student review. Ask older students to create their own Weje to organize information for large projects and when collaborating with other students. Notion uses a concept called blocks to add information. Each block is a single piece of content such as a to-do list or an embedded file. Click the menu on each page to open items or add content. Notion's free plans offer up to 600 blocks on your workspace or unlimited blocks using a mobile device and up to 5MB per file upload.

Use the tools to edit your poster's features including text, images, and background. Upload your images to use or choose from clipart available in DesignCap. When finished, share to social media using the provided link, download to your computer, or print your project. Registration isn't required; however, it gives you the ability to save projects to your online account.

Take advantage of this free resource to create posters for any topic. Have students design poster book covers to summarize stories read. Include posters with student blogging projects as part of an online portfolio. Choose from different areas on the site to search for environmental data, government policies, and the latest environmental topics. Use the "Your Community" area to search for information within a specific zip code or state. There are also many EPA videos that reside on YouTube. If your district blocks YouTube, the videos may not be viewable.
In the Classroom
Bookmark this site to include with units on the environment and current events. Ask students to search for local environmental issues and concerns using search tools on the site. Encourage students to use a tool like Diigo, reviewed here, to keep track and highlight the important information they find. Upon completion of research, have students create infographics using a tool like Canva, reviewed here, to share the facts they find. Canva is easy to use and provides many templates for creating infographics. Ask students to create a podcast featuring information on the environment along with suggestions on how to solve environmental concerns. Multimedia resources include images, documents, charts, and biomes interactive activity. Download all materials from the site in PDF format. View correlation to National Standards and Next Generation Science Standards through links provided.

Determine students' prior knowledge of biomes. Instead of using pencil and paper, use an online bulletin board like Lino, reviewed here, to categorize and share information obtained through student brainstorming. Allow students to access the bulletin board to add information learned throughout your unit. Provide students with a collaborative bookmarking site like Papaly, reviewed here, to share resources found during their research. Papaly allows you to add comments to shared resources.
